I’m pretty sure he means 2NE1.  And by now he’s gotta  know that the groups are OK. but this illustrates how connected this business is.

One of this K-pop girl group’s hits is being reissued in Japan this week.

Okay I had to clarify this from a while ago. What I have specifically been talking about regarding this group’s video is that they are doing some very early 90′s-ish shock value tactics with their latest videos.

I’ve been talking about these two projects, and so I’m posting the videos here for reference.

1. Brown Eyed Girls‘ video for Abracadabra. This is the “stage” version, which means the weird sorta bi-sexual love triangle part has been cut out. It’s not their latest video, just the one I’ve been referencing for production design purposes.

2. Big Bang – Let Me Hear Your Voice And then there’s Big Bang. YG does THIS like nobody else. YG Entertainment has basically raised a boy band in house, and now here they are.

What I find interesting is that if we tried to put either of these records out in the states, all the cool school would pass out. but these records work in Korea, where there’s a wider range of records to listen to.
